You legalise the power of attorney online
You receive a digital power of attorney that you sign and legalise on your phone via our online notary (€125). Five minutes; the notary sends the original to our office by registered mail.
We go to the Policía Nacional
As soon as the original power of attorney is with us, we schedule the appointment and attend it on your behalf. From that moment your package’s processing time runs. You do nothing.
You receive your NIE number
The official certificate arrives by email; the paper original can be added. You can use the number immediately: at the notary, the bank, your employer.

Frequently asked questions
Can I apply for an NIE without travelling to Spain? Yes. You submit your details and documents online and provide us with the necessary power of attorney. We then handle the application on your behalf; you do not need to visit a Spanish authority in person.
How much does an NIE application cost in total? You pay for the package you choose. In addition, you pay the official notary fees of €125 for the legalisation of the power of attorney. You can see in advance what costs are associated with your application, so there are no surprises.
Do I need to go to a notary or a Spanish authority myself? No. The power of attorney is handled via an online process that allows you to sign and legalise the authorisation. We take care of the rest.
How long will it take to receive my NIE? It depends on the package and the processing by the Spanish authorities: Standard within 2–4 weeks, Super fast within 10 days, Mega fast within 5 days, counted from the moment we have your signed power of attorney.
Can I apply for my NIE myself? In some situations, yes, but then you are responsible for the correct documents, appointments and forms, and for liaising with the Spanish authorities (sede.policia.gob.es). With our service you outsource this.
What is an NIE number? An NIE number (Número de Identificación de Extranjero) is a unique identification number for foreigners in Spain. You need it for almost any formal or administrative action, such as working, buying a house or opening a bank account.
Why do I need an NIE number? It is required when buying a home, starting a job, opening a bank account, receiving an inheritance, registering with agencies or even when taking out a phone subscription.
Is an NIE number required? Yes, if you want to live, work, invest or study in Spain, an NIE number is required by law.
